Anybody know what paint color this Porsche 356 outlaw is? Paint name or code would help. I'm trying to figure out a color to paint my autocross / road race first-gen S10. I had been thinking of a non-metallic gray like Nardo Gray (Audi S7), but I saw this picture of a blue with a hint of gray and I'm really digging it.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! from a different site, same car I think.

I've found a '57 color chart that says "aquamarin blue" #5707. Does that help?

That's the best picture I have of the whole truck, but here is an album of pictures .
1982 longbed S10 with 383 SBC (approx. 500 flywheel hp) and T56 6 speed manual. C5 corvette wheels (17x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear). It's being built to be daily-driveable, with A/C, sound deadening and stereo, but also useable for autocross and track days. 6 point roll bar with 6 point harnesses and fixed back racing seats. Interior will be minimalist, but comfortable enough.
Front suspension uses stock pickup points, but with spindles of a different geometry and C5 hub packs. High/low speed adjustable compression and rebound coilovers. Wilwood superlite 4 piston calipers and stock C5 rotors.
Rear suspension is a 3-link built around a Ford 8.8 rearend. I designed the suspension myself, it has converging lower links, an offset upper link and a panhard bar.

My Rat rod is on the same frame. http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/tag/rat-l-trap
That's some wild suspension work! I'm sure many people will be surprised by this truck.

Thanks, I'll probably end up trying to pick a color from a book, but that gives me a good starting point.

yeah, it is a great color. It wont look right with a base/clear though. Single stage is the way to go. Glasurit 22 line is what I have used for alot of restos http://www.glasurit.com/uk/glasurit-22…

Is that what makes these older-looking colors look good and different than newer colors? I had just figured it was because they didn't use any pearl or metallic, but maybe lack of clear makes it a flatter look?

it doesn't have as much depth in direct sunlight. I just think when you get to the wear stage of paint, peeling clear coat is a bear to deal with. Single stage you just take a slight bit off with polish or compound, and you in effect have a new paint job (setting a new base layer), so it lasts and lasts. I have always preferred single for just about anything, except for black

Well, found... I've read this article last week and it had the exact same 356 so it wasn't that hard. But you should use it, it's an awesome color! Just glad to be of assistance.
